Hand Protection: Preventing Hand Injuries
Hand injuries occur for numerous reasons, but knowing the hazards on the job is the first step in preventing injuries. This course covers the proper practices to prevent injuries, such as, the operation of machinery with all safe guards in place, what to do when working in or around equipment with minimal or no visibility, the importance of appropriate clothing and removing jewelry, and selecting the correct hand protection for the job. The three main categories of hand injuries, Mechanical Hazards, Contact Injuries, and Personal Hazards, are also covered ensuring viewers have a greater awareness of hazards in the workplace.
