School Bus Safety: Transporting Children With Special Needs
Working with children with special needs requires extra attention and training. As a School Bus Driver, the safety of your passengers is your responsibility. In this course, you will learn the how to reduce risks when transporting children with special needs. Understanding the characteristics and behaviors of your students, proper lifting techniques, lateral transferring and gait belts, loading and unloading on lift doors, de-escalation, and the need for consistent communication with parents are a few of the subjects covered in this course.
