Reporting and Evaluating Near Miss Incidents
Teaching a proactive approach to reporting, recording, and investigating near-misses is vital to running an efficient and safe organization. A "Near-Miss" is considered any incident which COULD have led to damage of property or physical injury. This course stresses that even if an accident was avoided the first time, it does not mean it can be avoid again; failure to report near-misses will eventually lead to an actual accident or injury. It is critical that organizations and staff understand that near-misses should be taken seriously and always reported.
